Dear MetaCert Community,

We’re entering a pivotal year where the true utility of the MCT token is about to take shape. As we push MetaCert’s security services into financial institutions, mobile operators, and consumers, the demand for verified website authentication will follow naturally — creating a real and sustainable market for MCT.

Building Demand for MCT at Scale

  • Mobile Operator Integrations: We are in discussions with major telecom providers about long-term integrations that would protect billions of SMS messages every month. These deals take time, but when implemented, they will create significant demand for verified business authentication.
  • The Banking Sector: We are actively engaging with banks and payment providers across Ireland to adopt 50099 as the national SMS security standard. This will drive widespread adoption of verified domains, creating real pressure for businesses to authenticate their websites and accelerating MCT demand. 50099 is the first real-time SMS security service that empowers consumers to check if a link is safe before clicking — preventing fraud instead of just reporting it. Unlike 7726, which only collects reports of suspicious messages after scams have already occurred, 50099 instantly verifies links, alerting users if they are authenticated, unverified, or known to be dangerous. This proactive approach stops fraud before harm is done.
  • Website Validation = Buy-Side Pressure: When a website owner pays $250 for verification, that instantly converts to $250 worth of MCT, split between community validators and MetaCert. Unlike speculative token demand, this is a legitimate buy-side market that hasn’t been seen before.

Why This Matters

Certificate Authorities have made billions selling website identity SSL certificates, even though browsers no longer show that information to consumers. MetaCert’s authentication model will do what CAs never could — bring trust back to digital interactions.

It’s Taking Time, But It’s All Coming Together

We’re not here to hype short-term movements — we’re building a sustainable security ecosystem that spans consumers, enterprises, mobile operators, and financial institutions. The groundwork we’re laying today will define how the internet verifies trust for years to come.

  • Security Service Expansion: Our new iPhone security app protects our members from fake SMS links, QR codes, and other related phishing attacks — a first-of-its-kind approach that gives people real-time authentication instead of relying on outdated block lists.
  • Short Code Adoption: With 5.2M people in Ireland, there’s already a significant base of website owners who will need verification, setting the stage for MCT demand to scale globally.
  • Token Exchange Plans: We’ll explore decentralized exchanges for liquidity, but real value will come when businesses need MCT to verify their sites. This will drive organic demand, making speculation irrelevant.
  • A significant portion of MCT will be allocated for salary payments, reducing the circulating supply as thousands of individuals — ranging from everyday users to skilled threat researchers — contribute to crowdsourcing trust and reputation on the internet. Just as platforms like PhishTank rely on collective intelligence to identify threats, MetaCert’s model ensures those who help verify and authenticate safe websites are fairly compensated, creating a self-sustaining security ecosystem. This approach strengthens global protection against impersonation scams while ensuring the long-term scalability of MetaCert’s mission.

2025 Will Be a Defining Year

The MetaCert security ecosystem is unlike anything that has come before. MCT isn’t just another token — it’s an essential part of a new security standard that businesses will adopt out of necessity. It won’t happen overnight, but we’re closer than ever to making it a reality.

Thank you for being part of this journey. We’ll continue sharing updates as we roll out partnerships and new security services that drive the demand we’ve been working toward.

From Reactive to Proactive: A New Standard in Security

Traditional security solutions only block known threats, allowing scams to remain undetected until victims report them — by then, the damage is done. MetaCert changes the game.

🔴 Presumed Guilty Until Proven Safe

Instead of reacting after harm occurs, MetaCert’s Zero Trust approach treats every unknown link as a potential threat. If a URL isn’t verified as safe, it fails authentication immediately, preventing customers from engaging with a potentially dangerous link.

🔹 Traditional Security: Waits for security reports before taking action.

🛡 MetaCert: Authenticates safe links in real time, alerting users with a green shield while unverified sites remain grey, ensuring customers always know when to proceed with confidence.

This is the first real-time fraud prevention service for SMS, giving banks and payment providers a proactive, customer-friendly defense against impersonation scams — stopping fraud before harm is done.

The video above demonstrates how only the legitimate eFlow.ie website is authenticated. Any site pretending to be eFlow will fail authentication, causing the MetaCert Shield to turn Grey, signaling that it is unverified. If reported and classified as dangerous, access will be blocked with a warning page, preventing customers from falling victim to malware, fraud and identity theft.
